College Office

Office offers a courtly welcome to the students, parents and staff expeditiously meeting their requisites managed by able and experienced staff headed by Mr. V. Thomas Mathew (Former DGM, SBT).

College Ativities

The college conducts the passing out ceremony in a big way every year. Every year the state dignitaries are called upon to felicitate the outgoing ceremony. Individual mementos are given to every student as a token of their achievement and to pursue their future endeavours. Toppers are given special awards.

Every year students come out with their exceptional magazines. College also supports in bringing out the magazine to encourage the literary skills of the students. The views of the students about the social issues are converged in the magazine inclined to make this world a better place. The magazines are a souvenier to the students for their years in Mar Dioscorus College of Pharmacy.

Hostel

Excellent hostel facilities are provided by the College. Dedicated staff take care of the students. Mens hostel is situated at Palayam opposite to AKG center managed by MGOCSM of the Orthodox Church. Ladies hostel is situated in Kesavadasapuram managed by senior and able wardens. Food at moderate rate and neat rooms are provided to students.

Librarary

The library has a good collection of latest edition books on each discipline from renowned authors prescribed by the authorities and more to promulgate the students to gain the extra knowledge other than through the curriculum. The library has also a collection of books on general knowledge, newspapers, periodicals and magazines. Question papers of previous exams and reprographic support are provided to students. Books are systematically arranged in the Dewey Decimal 19th edition classification scheme. A digital stock register is also maintained. The library has internet facilities and the library is open on all college days from 9 a.m to 4:30 p.m. The library is managed by an able librarian facilitating to the requirement of students.

Laboratory

For the practical instruction and analysis of the subject excellent laboratories are set up. The Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry labs, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy labs, Pharmacology and Computer labs are all made in accordance with the stipulations of the concerned authorities and maintained well with the help of dedicated and assigned lab staff. There is also a well maintained medicinal garden and animal house.

Anti - Ragging

Sports & Arts

The college promotes the co-curricular activities in a big way mustring the allround performance of the students. The college conducts Sports and Arts days every year and the winners are honoured. Christmas, Onam and Eid festivals are celebrated in the college with fun and gaiety to bring about brotherhood, friendship and love amongst one and all. Talented students are encouraged to attend the University and Inter-University events. The students of the college has brought laurels to the college on many occasions. The management offers full support for promoting the cultural activities of students. The college stood second in Kerala University Pharmakalotsvam during two consecutive years 2009 and 2010.

Transportation

The college provides to and fro transportation from the college to the city centre. The college hostels are well connected to college by college buses.

Reaching MDCP
The MDCP campus is located 2 kms from National Highway. If you are boarding a KSRTC city service bus alight at Chavadimukku (the main point of access to College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram). You can board KSRTC buses with Alathara or Kattela board and get down near the college or you could consider taking an autorickshaw. Chavadimukku is 2 kms from Sreekariyam and 5kms from Kazhakkuttom.
